The launch of Super Mario Maker, the first game of its kind where anyone can make a Super Mario level, was more than just a promotion for a title; it was a celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary.

So to commemorate the occasion, we created a living, breathing Super Mario world where young and old could craft levels to live before our very eyes. We see our hero share his creations with friends and family, demonstrating Nintendo’s enduring ability to span generations.

Digital Domain even developed a VR experience uniquely for the campaign, immersing the actors in our fantastical Super Mario world.

Sales were brisk, and the spots were cherished, earning millions in views on YouTube in their first week.
